Why do they get priority selection?
Festival Auction Winners
Offering priority selection as part of the Festival Auction is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for our community. Every year, our Festival Auction Winners generously donate thousands of dollars to benefit our children, and we are very grateful.

Mass Drawing Winner
This sweet tradition goes back decades and is a fun way to engage the community at our Sunday morning mass service. All families attending our Sunday mass service are eligible to win.

8th Grade Families
For their last campout together, we want 8th-grade families to have a reliable way to be in proximity to each other (in the RV park) if they so choose. It’s a special way to celebrate their years together and make lasting memories before going their separate ways in high school. For families whose youngest child is graduating from 8th grade this year, we want to offer the option of a cabin for your family’s final campout. It is our expression of gratitude for your dedication to our community. We will miss you!

Campout Committee Members
Campout Committee members volunteer their time over the course of many months to design, organize, and run a weekend-long event for over a thousand people. It involves countless hours of behind-the-scenes preparation and they need to be on site to properly oversee the running of the event.

How will Auction/Drawing Winners select their accommodations?

A Campout Committee member will contact Auction/Drawing Winners to make their selections.
(Auction/Drawing Winners should complete the "Sign-Up" submission form so we have current contact information.)

How will 8th-Grade Families select their accommodations?

8th-grade families have the option to either:
-
Enter the "8th-Grade Lottery" to pre-select accommodations prior to Selection Day
-
Enter the general "Selection-Day Lottery" to see if they can get a favorable time on the Selection-Day schedule

After the Selection-Day schedule is published, 8th-grade families are permitted to switch to the "8th-Grade Lottery". Those switching will be removed from the Selection-Day schedule.

For the “8th-Grade Lottery”, the campout committee will assign all interested 8th-grade families a random computer-generated “lottery” number to create a selection order. Prior to Selection Day, the campout committee will organize a meeting (via Zoom) for families to make their selections.
Those families whose youngest child is graduating from 8th grade this year will be eligible to select an RV spot or a cabin (from a limited list of available cabins - predetermined by the campout committee).
All other 8th-grade families will be eligible to select an RV spot.
See Sign-Up Policies for more details.

Why are there some cabins or RV spots marked unavailable to reserve?
Some cabins or spots are not available because they are undergoing maintenance. Additionally, every year we set aside a few cabins for (a) priest or nurse use, or (b) if a reserved accommodation suddenly becomes uninhabitable, or (c) if we can offer a family suffering sudden distress a way to be comforted by our community for the weekend.
